SASAKI Hiroko

SASAKI Hiroko (1945-) Industrial artist (planar carving). Born in Kagawa Prefecture. Currently resides in Okayama Prefecture. Selected for Nihon Shinkogei Exhibition in 1986, 1988, and 1989. Began activities based on Asian Modern Art Exhibition in 1992, and since then has received an incentive award, a Nanjing City Artists Association award, a director’s award, a Kitamura Seibo award, a Minister of Education incentive award, and an Asia grand prize, and has presented works both in Japan and other countries. Included in a collection of Catalunya bureau of arts and crafts in 1992. Received a Belgian Consulate General award in 2000. Australian Embassy award in 2001. Principality of Monaco honor award at the 6th Monaco-Japan Culture Festival in 2002. Guilin City Cultural Bureau chief award in 2003. Included in a Guilin City collection. Greeces’s Apollon award at the Beauty and Peace Festival in 2004. Member of the Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado. Exhibited at the 2005 Aichi Expo. Received a Japan-Thailand exchange selection award. Included in Thailand’s royal collection. Appointed as an honorary professor at Thailand national Silpakorn University World Art and Culture Exchange Academy. Grand prize at the 2006 International Art Exchange Exhibition Commemorating 150 Years of Friendship Between Japan and Russia. Wrote “Japanese Women of the 20th Century.” Currently in charge of “MiyaBiBori.” Trustee for Artist Friendship Association of Asia, judge for Asian Modern Art Exhibition.

"Inishie no Omoi." Created in 2011. Received a Kitamura Seibo award at the 47th Asia Modern Art Exhibition.
