Yoko Seino (born 1936), oils painter. Born in Fukushima Prefecture. Won a special commendation at the 1982 Daichokai Exhibition and showed at the Shinshoten Committee Member’s Exhibition and the Japan Artists Association Exhibition in 1983. Nominated to the committee and judging panel of the Japan Artists Association Exhibition in 1984. Selected for the Collector’s Prize Art Exhibition in 1985 and won prizes three times since then. Won a prize at the 1992 Kokusai Bijutsu Taishoten and was nominated for the posts of executive director and judge for the following year. Ran the Samurai of Aizu exhibition in Tokyo for 3 years since 1997. Since 2015, she has also participated in overseas exhibitions such as the Rencontre Artistique Monaco Japon. Featured in the 21st volume of Art Maison International in 2017. Has organized 20 solo exhibitions, 15 group exhibitions, and 4-person exhibitions in reputed department stores and art galleries around the world. Her masterpieces are “Delirium ”and “Road to the Rural Garden”. A nature lover, she focuses on mountain villages and hamlets with lush greenery and creates seasonal landscapes with deft brushstrokes and vivid colors in these works. We can catch a glimpse of the painter’s unique worldview from her wonderful experiences. She is currently holding independent solo exhibitions. She is also a VIP artist member of Art Maison Selecting Committee headquarters in Spain.
