SENZAKI Mayumi (1950-) Western-style painter. Born in Saga Prefecture. Currently resides in Kasuyagun, Fukuoka Prefecture. Currently unaffiliated. First selected for the 5th Shingeijutsuten in 1980, recommended as an affiliate, and subsequently continued to be selected. Selected for Le Salon in 1982. In 1988, received an effort award at the 13th Shingeijutsuten and was recommended as an associate member. In 1989, received an incentive award at the 14th Shingeijutsuten and was recommended as a member. In 1990, received a bronze award at the 15th Shingeijutsuten. In 1991, received a silver award at the 16th Shingeijutsuten and a grand prize at the New York Art Festival. In 1993, received an international culture merit award (art directors’ club). Held a personal exhibition in Hakata Daimaru in 1994, and there were many visitors. In 1996, received a Manhattan “art net academy” grand prize. Believes in treasuring every encounter, for it will never recur. An artist who paints while pursuing the true purpose of human life.
