Takeda Yasuko, Western-style painter. Born in 1948, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Currently living in Tokyo. Graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design, Department of Arts, with a major in Western Painting, in 1972. From 2004 to 2005 she went to France and studied in the schools of master painters such as Paul Ambille and Jean Marie Zacchi. Being a member of “Salon International de Paris,” she has had her works exhibited at the show from 2002. Since 2004, many of her paintings have been selected for the French exhibition, “Le Salon des Artistes Français.” They were also exhibited at “Visual Art Exhibition in France” (Corsica, France) and “Japan-France-China Contemporary Art Global Exhibition” (Tianjin Museum, China) in 2006, “France-Japan Multinational Contemporary Art Exhibition” (Tokyo International Forum) in 2008, and Asia Invitation Art Exhibition (Seoul, Korea) in 2009. In the same year, her artwork was nominated for the “Visual Art Exhibition in America” (Tennessee, America). From 2010, her art pieces have been exhibited at “France-Japan Multinational Contemporary Art Exhibition” (The National Art Center, Tokyo). Currently, she holds private and group exhibitions mainly in Ginza, Tokyo. Her paintings have been accepted to various exhibitions and won numerous awards. She is now a member of Japan Artists Association and Hachiki-kai. In her art work, such as still-life and landscapes, she depicts nature in an emphasized manner, engaging in figurative and semi-figurative paintings in search of lyricism vivacious colors, shadows and light.
