WATANABE Tatsuhiko

WATANABE Tatsuhiko (1938-) Western-style painter. Born in Tottori Prefecture. Currently resides in Tottori City. Received the Seattle Mayor's Prize in 1985. Received the Serge Marjisse Award in 1990. In 1997, he was a special selection at the Nihon Senbatsu Bijutsuten. In 2001, he was awarded the Golden Work Award at the Contribution to World Fine Arts Awards. In 2002, he was chosen as a part of the "Japanese Today's Visual Arts Exhibition" in Spain. In 2004, as part of the Global International Fine Arts Contribution Awards, he received master qualifications, certificates of honor, and the Award for Elite Excellence in World Arts Circles from six organizations in China. In 2006, he won the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize. He was a recipient of the Grand Prix Award at the 37th International Public Successive Exhibition in 2010.
